How To Make A Spectacular Fascinator Kentucky Derby Style

I always love to watch the Kentucky Derby on television which is held on the first Saturday in May. The history of hats began with Col. Meriwether Lewis Clark Jr. the founder of he Kentucky Derby.
The racetrack was a place of ill repute that attracted gambling and drinking. It wasn't a place for woman or children.
Meriwether was inspired by trips to London's Epsom Derby and Paris Grand Prix which are posh events and attracted an elegant crowd.
In 1879 Clark began to transform racetracks in America that attracted one class of people to a more classy and elegant elite group. With the help of his wife they sought out to promote throughout Louisville, Ky. To convince his target clientele that the new racetrack was a place for the upper class.
The loaded up a wagon of society influencers to get the word out to encourage picnics, beautiful carriages and high fashions began to transform the Kentucky Derby to a place of elegance.woman coordinated beautiful plumed couture milliners and exquisite dresses and shoes, created a media fashion frenzy. Thus the elegance of the Kentucky Derby was born.

Here is my DIY on creating a fascinator. I purchased the flower, feathers, and fascinator straw base
from Zoria Millinery,

I used a hot glue gun and arranged the flower and feathers on base and wha lah!
