Cape Boss!

I decided to wear my cape today, and I have to say I love it! When you see so many people bundled in coats and wraps, this cape makes me feel powerful and amazing! This is the perfect alternative to fighting the winter blues. I can feel spring in the air, even though snow is melting all around me.

I decided to add a french flair with a strip shirt, red bandana, and cobalt suede pumps. What is your power wear to fight the winter blues?

I love this coat, but I almost gave it away. you know the stuff you have hanging in the back of your closet. Well, this coat is over 10 years old! Imagine when I finally pulled it out from the closet and wore it to work. I received so any compliments, it was then I realized this was a classic design. Black and white is always so chic, and with the right accessories like the red leather gloves...they make me happy!

Testing The Bell Sleeve Trend

I love this bell sleeve trend. I can't wait to try this blouse with other options in my closet.

I purchased this blouse for under $40 at Nordstrom Rack. It was so funny because I tried it over another blouse because I was too lazy to go into the fitting room. Much to my surprise I was pleased with the results. I can't wait to try other options to wear with this trend.

Dress For Less

I love fashion! It all started when I use to watch my sisters get ready for dates. I love the hustle and bustle of watching them prepare for that special date. 

I believe that fashion is when you take high end with thrift store finds and blend it altogether. The outfit pictured except for the purse because it is a real Chanel purchase, was around $60. The shoes I found at Jomars $10, the vest TJ Maxx $10.00, skirt BCBG $20, the stripe ruffle top Ralph Lauren $20.

I challenge you to dress for less!

Stripes With a Little Cold Shoulder

I love stripes and I have lots of stripe tops. Let's just say I'm obsessed! Last week my daughter was in town and found the cutest navy and white cold shoulder top. I was on a mission to find one for me. Bingo! I found this perfect top in the junior section of TJ Maxx.

My advice don't shy away from this look, wear it your way!

Designing with my #1 Granddaughter

Last week my beautiful creative granddaughter Harmony, helped me to design this amazing bag for her teacher. 

It finally arrived and her teacher was so excited to receive it.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year

Christmas Eve 2016 From the Lawson family!

What a story we have and how God has brought us through and closer together as a family. My daughter had a small procedure done the beginning of this year. She was is constant pain for several months before the surgery but she was able to maintain a 4.0 grade average and recently graduated in May from Umass with high honors. My Grandchildren are amazing and are doing extremely well in school. My handsome son was diagnosed with a benign brain tumor in the spring and survived 13 hrs of surgery. So we are trusting in the lord and are grateful for his love and mercies towards our family!

Club 21 Formal Gown Macys

Sometimes in life we face many challenges, they can either take you under or over!

 last month I had to face my challenge dead on, with my son, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. It literally made me question who or what do I believe? I choose to stand on the Promises of God. By doing that I learned about the importance of speaking life and believing in a good outcome.

After 13 hours of surgery on April 17, 2015 my son is a survivor and the tumor was benign. I am so grateful for the many prayers and thoughts and encouragement from many people all over the world. I saw how social media can bring people together. My son was touched by the many encouraging words and support that his media friends showed him doing this difficult time in his life.

Here are three lessons that I learned from this experience:

1. Enjoy the people that you meet along the way because they can impart wisdom
2. Live your lfe and celebrate yourself with small things
3. Change your mindset and be careful of the words you speak over your situation and self

I will post some new goodies in my shop next week and stay positive!
